It sounds like it is your particular installation that is not
inserting the headers. Perhaps you have modified your default
templates?

What is the difference between using IMAP and POP? Is there a way to
copy messages between folders on the server (reason for using IMAP
over POP). And can anyone tell me how to make a certain LDAP
directory the default directory for name checking?
