Is this on purpose or are you having a macro problem? g
Nah, just being a newbie...

I expect to get all messages too, but once the message is in the
handheld, I don't see a reason to transmit it again to the
unit. Somehow my old messages that have already been transmited
to the handheld are being send to the handheld everytime I
synchronize the device.
Not sure I
I think that my PGP isn't working really well... I try to check
for a signature validity (even mine) and it will always say that
it is of unknown format. Do I have to download those DLL's
available at the site? Where should I copy 'em to?

Using
You should really use an external implementation of PGP to enable full
use of DH/DSS keys as well as RSA. The DLLs should be downloaded and
unpacked into the same folder as thebat.exe. Select the appropriate
PGP version from the Tools | OpenPGP | Choose OpenPGP version
dialog box.
Where
Well, primarily you need one of the external PGP packs - NAI PGP 7.x
(with tray support) has no TB DLL plug in. If you use or can track
down a PGP 6.5.8 freeware or the ckt build then you can use the PGP
DLLs, which you can get from the RITlabs FTP site at
ftp://www.ritlabs.com/pub/the_bat
I think that this means the sender's public key is not found in your
public keyring. (I stand to be corrected about this)
That's right. I needed only to check the 'verify' option so it'd
download the keys from the server.
Thanx for your help.

Bat! and ran 2 hotsyncs. Timings:
Eudora 1st hotsync: 3min17s
Eudora 2nd hotsync: 2s
The Bat! 1st hotsync: 3min18s
The Bat! 2nd hotsync: 3min18s
Seems to me that
How can you tell that all the mail is being sent to your palm each
time? Is there a log that lists each msg that is sync'd?
By the timings I took with both Eudora and The Bat!, using the
same mailbox (all messages are read, deleted all messages in the
Palm unit before hotsync'n w/ each
Hi you all!
I began using The Bat! not long ago, and I must say it's a
pretty amazing program. The only problem I have is with the MAPI
interface.
I have a Palm V handheld, and I use the mail synchronization
feature in HotSync. It seems that the program is failing to
'say' that
