TB! V1.53d - calling Ie5.5 to browse

Hello TBUDListers.

What setting allows TB! to call IE5.5. (or whichever browser) to

Currently, if I click on a link in a msg, it brings up IE5.5 but

TB! V1.53d vs M$ Outlook

2001-07-13 Thread Jan Rifkinson

Hello TBUDListers.

Thought you might interested in the following:

Friday July 13 12:00 PM EDT Microsoft warns of e-mail vulnerability
By Erich Luening CNET News.com Microsoft is warning customers about
a flaw in an ActiveX control within its Outlook e-mail software that
could let an intruder access their computers.

The vulnerability affects Outlook 98, 2000 and 2002, the e-mail
application included in Microsoft's Office desktop software. It
involves an ActiveX feature called Microsoft Outlook View Control,
which is designed to let people view mail or calendar information

Because of the glitch, the control could allow an attacker to delete

said in a security bulletin posted on its Web

what's so special about .xsl files ??

2001-07-13 Thread Rob

Hi,

a colleague sent me a .xsl file (xml stylesheet) attached to an e-mail to
put on of of our intranet servers ; funny thing is, it doesn't show up as
an attachment in TB! ??

it's not stored separately as specified in account - properties - files
directories and it doesn't show in the left column of the message (pre)view
as specified in view - attached files - show automatically ... i only get
an extra tab at the bottom of the message with the text of the file.

so there's no way to save it as an attachment except copying and pasting.
is this normal behavior or is there something special about .xsl files in
e-mail ?
even .html files are show as separate attachments ...

commandline arguments

2001-07-13 Thread Miles Alexander

Hello Users,
I am attempting to use some commandline parameters for creating new
mail for specific users. What I would like to do is include a
standard NEW template within the body to be edited before sending.
Thus far, I have this working successfully with the message waiting
  in the Outbox:

  /MAILUSER=execioMochamail;[EMAIL PROTECTED];

  Per theBat!'s definition:

TEMPLATE=value or T=value value is the pathname of the file which
contains the template that will be used for the creation of the message.
By default, it is the standard template of the target folder or the
  target account.

I am sorry, but I am clueless what this means.

Can someone fill in the blank:

  /MAILUSER=execioMochamail;[EMAIL PROTECTED];TEMPLATE=;

That is, if every poster suddenly refers to every single product of MS or

Message Templates

2001-07-13 Thread Carren Stuart

Hello,TB! 1.53d Windows 98 SE

This may be a silly question but I'll ask it anyway!
I have several templates set up for contacts in my address book.
When I click their name on the drop down menu on New Message the
composition window automatically comes up with the respective
template. Just as expected. However, if I forget to do it this way and
simply click on New Message then select their address from the
address book icon on the right of the composition window, their
template does not come up. Why doesn't it? I would have thought that
if you had a template set up it would automatically be used regardless
of how you go about selecting your recipient.

Hello Carren,

Actually, once you enter your recipient's address in the To: field, the
moment you place your mouse in the composition window, no matter which
template was there to begin with, it should magically turn into the proper
individualized template for that recipient - providing you've made one for

Hello again Carren,

The people for whom I've created personalized templates are also in my
favorites list. This way, I can just right-click in the To: field, and
choose the address (no need to go to the address book). Then, when I place
the cursor in the composition window, the template appears. However...

I just tried it the way you describe above, and it still works the same

template appears as it should.
