Microed editor not respecting the "return"
When I use the Microed editor to write, I press "Enter" to start a new line, but as soon as I start typing, the typing continues on the previous line where I had left off. So it's a little frustrating. Some more info. The options I have enable for "Micro-ed specific options are: auto-wrap, auto-format, smart tabs, backspace unindents, find text at caret position. The reason I have settled on the options above is because of previous frustrations with Microed that I've written here about before. The main one being my problem with being able to automatically wordwrap lines after going back and editing lines in the middle of a message. Does anyone else run into these frustrations with microEd? After all these years, I would have expected it to be a little more normal and easy to use. I don't understand why this stuff happens or why it doesn't behave like any other editor for the simple stuff. I love the Bat tremendously, but these little things about microed keep coming up and they never seem to get fixed. __ Aram Current version is 4.2.6 | 'Using TBUDL' information: http://www.silverstones.com/thebat/TBUDLInfo.html

I spent several days-weeks (several e-mails) with the techs at TB! and we never did find out what was causing it. In fact, the Tech I e-mailed with had never heard of it, and that was all we ended up at. Since I was the only one that had e-mailed them about this problem, it was concluded that I had something on my computer that NO-ONE-ELSE had one their computer and it was MY fault, but formatting my computer would fix it -- Best regards, Chasonekmailto:chaso...@hughes.net All Mail Virus Checked on it's way out, AND Virus Checked And Spam Checked on it's way in. No, the icon is definitely a blank one and not the connection centre, which I also have on the taskbar from time to time. Closing the blank one (right click and close) closes TB! -- Julian Using The Bat! v4.2.6 on Windows Vista 6.0 Build 6001 Service Pack 1 Current version is 4.2.6 | 'Using TBUDL' information: http://www.silverstones.com/thebat/TBUDLInfo.html
Decrypting a PGP-inline encrypted message that contains just a URL yields an empty message body
Hi Anybody confirm this issue? If an inline PGP-encrypted message contains no text apart from a URL, decrypting it by pressing the button in the preview pane shows a completely blank message body. The blank message body is on a second tab labelled "Text" instead of one labelled "PGP Decrypted". As noted at https://www.ritlabs.com/bt/view.php?id=5222, this issue was present in v3.0.1.33, fixed in 3.62.13, still OK in 3.80.06, broken again by 4.0.14 and still broken in v4.0.38. It's not something I check regularly but a recent posting to encryption mailing list PGPNET contained just a URL, so I noticed it again (-; -- Best regards, MFPA A bird in the hand makes it awfully hard to blow your nose Using The Bat! v4.0.38 on Windows XP 5.1 Build 2600 Current version is 4.2.6 | 'Using TBUDL' information: http://www.silverstones.com/thebat/TBUDLInfo.html

I use XP not Vista and I sometimes get two - the extra one has a TB! logo and is labelled "Loading anti-virus plug-ins." This is usually the first thing to appear when I load TB!, a split second before the splash screen appears. About 80-90% of the time, it disappears when TB! has started and is populating the numbers of messages in the folder tree. When it stays, nothing will get rid of it except closing TB! - clicking or right-clicking it does nothing. The extra button has no detriment apart from added clutter - TB! and the anti-virus scanning of incoming and outgoing mails work as expected whether it stays there or not, so I don't worry about it. My anti-virus is the free version of Avast 4.8. -- Best regards, MFPA The truth is rarely pure and never simple Using The Bat! v4.0.38 on Windows XP 5.1 Build 2600 Current version is 4.2.6 | 'Using TBUDL' information: http://www.silverstones.com/thebat/TBUDLInfo.html
