disable update Account's data popup dialog?
Hello, is it possible to disable the update account's data popup dialog? When it pops up and I'm not at the keyboard to close it, TB waits forever for a confirmation and so it stops checking for incoming messages. This isn't OK for me because I'm using TB as a list processor. Background: TB checks a pop email account every 1 minute. Outlook also periodically checks the same email account but as IMAP. My ISP's pop/imap server locks the mailbox when IMAP is being checked. When this happens TB pops up an OK dialog box that says - account_name: check mail username... password... [ ]update Account's data OK/CANCEL - This is the box that I wan't to disable. The log window shows: date/time FETCH - Server reports error. The response is: -ERR [IN USE] user mailbox locked. - Do you Yahoo!? Yahoo! Platinum - Watch CBS' NCAA March Madness, live on your desktop! macro to include output of an external program?
Hello, is there a macro that can aid in including the output of an external program in a template? Basically I'd like to be able to specify something like: --- Dear -%ExecuteExternalProgram=c:\progs\myprog.bat -d1- bla bla --- and have it expanded into something like --- Dear -this text was generated by myprog.bat- bla bla --- I realize I could use a %Put=file.txt macro when file.txt already contains the output text that myprog.bat generated. Hello SGP, On Tuesday, March 25, 2003 at 12:36 AM, Sgp heard voices say: is there a macro that can aid in including the output of an external program in a template? No. Or at least, not yet. Note that if this template is for a filter generated message, you could use the filter's run program action to create the output. passing an argument when calling a dialer application
Hi All, Does anybady know how I could pass a telephone number as an argument to a dialer application from a Bat filter? I'm asking this because I want The Bat! to call my cellular internal telephone number when an e-mail of a specific sender arrives and I'm away from my desk. Any suggestions are welcome. Very important issue has come to my attention!!
Hello tbudl'ers and the other TB! lists, Sorry for the cross-post, but I feel it is VERY important to get the word out on this. I received a very ominous message today from another mailing list. I have enclosed it in its entirety below. Read it and weep! Please note that the MapQuest return for the listing even includes an aerial PHOTO of your home or business location!! -~=-~=-~=-~=-~=-~=-~=-~=-~=-~=-~=-~=-~=-~=-~=-~=-~=-~=-~=-~=-~=-~=-~=-~= -~=-~=-~=-~=-~=-~=-~=-~=-~=-~=-~=-~=-~=-~=-~=-~=-~=-~=-~=-~=-~=-~=-~=-~= Take a look at the note below - if you go to www.google.com and type in your telephone number it will actually pull up directions to your house - there is a way to have your number removed. Many people are unaware of this danger. I was, in fact! Go to www.google.com then type in your phone number (separated by hyphens, including area code) and click on Google Search. If your phone number is listed it will show your name and address and give you two map options. Yahoo and MapQuest. See how accurate the map is to your home. VERY SCARY!!! Any person wishing to discover the physical location of a phone number, be it a home or business address, could use this feature to locate a physical street address, and receive directions on how to get there from anywhere in the country. In the age of the internet communication we all know the dangers of this - for adults and CHILDREN! Google has made available an option that will allow anyone to REMOVE their telephone number from the database that is linked to the mapping feature. You will first need to check if your number is listed in this manner by attempting a search-entering your full telephone number separated by dashes (e.g. 555-555-). If the number appears in the mapping database, an icon resembling a telephone will appear next to the first or second entry on the results page. Clicking on this icon will take you to a page containing a description of the service, and a link to request your number be removed from the database. So far unlisted numbers and cell phone numbers, do not show up. -~=-~=-~=-~=-~=-~=-~=-~=-~=-~=-~=-~=-~=-~=-~=-~=-~=-~=-~=-~=-~=-~=-~=-~= -~=-~=-~=-~=-~=-~=-~=-~=-~=-~=-~=-~=-~=-~=-~=-~=-~=-~=-~=-~=-~=-~=-~=-~= This is getting totally out of hand, so I will be providing RITLabs with a java-script for ALL my information and referrals so that it can be a bit harder to 'harvest' in the future! Please read the below. Btw the function only works for US telephone numbers. That should tell you something. ,--- [ Summary of the eRumor ]--- | | This is a warning that the search engine at www.google.com has a feature | that will map the location of a telephone number. It suggests having | Google remove your number so anyone with harmful motives will not be | able to use the feature against you. | | | The Truth | This is one of those eRumors that focuses on a non-sinister feature of | the Internet and makes it sound sinister. We have not been able to find | any evidence that any law enforcement agency has issued any warnings | about the Google search for phone numbers. | | Google.com is one of the most versatile search engines on the Internet. | One of the features built into Google is the ability to conveniently | look up information from the White Pages of any telephone book. If you | type a name, address, and city of a person with a listed phone number, | you will probably get that person's White Pages listing which includes | the telephone number. As an added feature, Google includes a couple of | mapping services in case you want to look up the location. In the same | way, you can enter the telephone number alone and if it is a listed | number, you'll get the complete listing including the address and, if | desired, the mapping to that address. | | The problem with the eRumor is that it makes it sound as though this is | privileged information, which it is not. It's the same information that | could be gotten from a phone book or directory assistance. It also makes | it sound as though the feature is specifically for the purpose of | entering a phone number and finding a map. It is not. The feature finds | all the listed information about phone number and includes the mapping | if you choose it. | | If, for some reason, you do not wish for your information to be | available through Google, you can, as the eRumor describes, click the | telephone icon next to your information and they will remove you from | their database, but that means very little. The reason the information | is there is because it's public and removing it from Google doesn't | prevent anyone from having it. They can go to the telephone book, | directory assistance, or any of the other pages on the Internet that | have name, address, and telephone information. IMAP messages not downloading
Hello Folks, I just experienced a server upgrade which broke my connection. The server supports IMAP only, attempts to connect via POP3 result in an unable to connect to server message. Connect via IMAP gives me: 20.59.08: FETCH - Connecting to IMAP server foo.bar on port 143 20.59.09: FETCH - IMAP server authentication OK, server says LOGIN completed but no messages. It just waits. And waits. I upgraded to the latest version of TB (1.62i), but it hasn't helped except to let me see the messages sooner in the log panel and to know that there are active jobs when I try to exit. Outgoing mail works just fine. Any suggestions? TIA. Greg Current version is 1.62 | Using TBUDL information: http://www.silverstones.com/thebat/TBUDLInfo.html

Hi Peter, PP No. Of course this is only a dummy, assuming you already know what your PP dialing application is I experimented with Windows XP Dialer.exe, but until now I was unable to pass line commands to it. Hello Gerard, I must say that although I agree with you on how anyone can get this info from a phonebook or whatever, a phonebook doesn't give you mapped directions to your house from any location in the US. Dear Thomas, --- Thomas Fernandez / Dienstag, 25.03.2003, 03:38:03 Don't download eMail with attachment - if a eMail is found with Attachment (except HTML) don't download it Use a Selective Download filter. Look for Content-Type: text/plain|text/html|multipart/alternative and other possible HTML content types, and if these are *not* present, choose ignore. Must I for each attachment that I want let through make one entry in this field? So I also have to define the Content type for signed msg. e.g. Content-Type: multipart/signed;? Add-on Info: I have a Filter working on the first place that is deleting any successfully downloaded eMail from the Server. Why do you need a filter for this? Account / Properties / Mail Management / (.) Delete messages from server. When on a mobile basis it took me very long until TB! counted the msg on the Server and only then downloaded the new one. So this filter will delete only these mails that have being downloaded successfully. This, so far, works quit fine. Is there any way to expand this Filter that handles the attachment as described above? If it is an Icoming filter, it will only start working after the messages have been downloaded already. If you download messages and leave messages above a certain size on the server, the messages exceeding the size limit will be deleted if you have the option to delete messages on the server enabled. This was the case the last time I was using this feature. Duplicate folders started appearing for one user's instance of TB. For example: EmailAccount | | inbox | | inboxsubfolder outbox folderx inbox | | inboxsubfolder outbox folderx E.g., I create a new subfolder under inbox inboxsubfolder and a new top level folder folderx in emailaccount. The next time TB is started, these folders also show up as standalone folders outside of emailaccount. The messages are also duplicated in these folders. If I delete those duplicates, they reappear.
