Re: (Selective) Selective Download Filter

2006-05-26 Thread Martin Schuster
Hello Robert,

Martin Schuster waved a wand then said : '

M Try activating the dispatcher:\

hehe, did I? ;-)

I put a nonsense filter under the Selective Download tab. It looks to
see if qwerty is in the Sender position.

When I hit shift-ctrl-F2, I see the *Read* is still checked. I also
never see Statistics Tab *Tested* going above Zero.

That, according to you, means the selective download filter is never
 checked/activated

Maybe I misunderstand, but did any of the mails contain qwerty ?
Only then would the read flag be unchecked in dispatcher. So I think
your result is correct: none of the mails was filtered (why tested
is not incremented I don't know).

An example maybe says more: I have a selective download filter
Subject contains any of [some typical spam words] with action
kill. So if any mail contains one of those words its read flag is
deactivated in dispatcher by default. Works 100% here. No more
enlarge your...-mails here ;-)

Esperanto Spellchecker

2006-05-26 Thread Chris

Recently, my communications in Esperanto have increased to such a
volume that I no longer wish to spellcheck them by hand. Is there any
way to have The Bat! do the red squiggly spellchecking in Esperanto?
Failing that, is there any way at all to spellcheck in Esperanto? I do
have aspell with an Esperanto dictionary installed if it can be of any
use.

I assume that the International Pack won't help. However, I cannot
find a list of languages that it adds, so I'm just assuming (and we
all know what can come of that...).

Only by adding a .tlx and .clx file for Esperanto in your speller

would know where you could get them or how to create them.

Interesting. So this drive has it's own spec'ed-down OS, or am I
understanding this wrong? So what you are enquiring about is Voyager
limited to this smaller kernel, right?

Hm. I'm quite happy with Voyager as it is, all that U3 seems to
provide is additional software that is run from the drive, such as IE.
Am I missing something?

Re: (Selective) Selective Download Filter

2006-05-26 Thread Robert D.
It is said that Martin Schuster concocted the following rebuttal : '
M Hello Robert,

Martin Schuster waved a wand then said : '

M hehe, did I? ;-)

indeed, you did, then the message turned to a frog.

M An example maybe says more: I have a selective download filter
M Subject contains any of [some typical spam words] with action
M kill.

yes. OK. I made a test; subject contains xyzzy then KILL.

but, this is seemingly useless in that
the offending message remains on server (forever)

also noted, as said before, the statistics tab never indicates if the
filter was tried. All remains a zero.

I was able to see that (using dispatcher window) that the Read became
unchecked.

And as I said, that particular test message is still on my server
having been neither D/L'd not deleted by the dispatcher. So, in any
case, I still have to manually deal with a server-side message that I
do not want not like.

And, I still can not select for a gross size and delete them. I see,
on my server right now, ten or eleven half-meg fido pictures from nice
people who can not slenderize their mega-pixel shots of their lovable
dogs . then ship them as attachments to a list I am (was) on.

So, IMHO , Selective Download is pointless in that she has no teeth
and can only wave noodles at server-side emails rather than a fully
charged Wand backed by a book with excellent spells therein.
