AVG Virus checker and TB

I have only just joined the list. I have downloaded avgbat9us.exe but cannot get it to work. I keep getting the message that my version (1.62) of TB is obsolete and I need version 1.60 or later. Can anyone suggest a solution to this problem? Thank you, Hilton M
