Thank you M, that works perfectly. Much simpler to my senile old brain than
Jim's suggestion (for which I'm very much appreciative anyway).

Thank you both.

First line indentation

2012-11-08 Thread Jack S. LaRosa
Greetings and salutations,

Whenever I click on the CREATE A NEW MESSAGE down arrow (next to the blank
page icon w/quill on it) for a specific person, and only this person, a new
message window opens up which contains text defined by a template somewhere as
it always has. Lately I see that the first line of the text, Hi is indented a
few spaces. It seems that the (partially) defining template is the one in the
ADB as I can change what the template says, e.g. Hi to Hello but I can't
change the font or character size from this ADB template. Where would font and
font size be defined for a specific person's new message?

Go to the address book entry, pick new message for that person then FORMAT /
HTML
THEN immediately turn off auto wrap, auto format and Justify on auto wrap or
you will have a MESS
I haven't checked to see if this is fixed, but in most templates you can do one
thing then you must save it and go back in and do the next if the items you
want are in the dropdown

Well, that solved my problem, sort of. It seems I have to specify HTML in the
ADB template and then specify HTML in OPTIONSPREFERENCESVIEWER/EDITOR. If I
then re-specify plain text in the ADB template, the indentation reappears when I
use the drop-down.

I don't mind having everything default to HTML, I just have to remember to
change it to plain text whenever I write to this list.

Thanks for the help Rick.
