If your old address is with a public email provider, you could probably also set up a POP3 collection, so that it gets the mail from the new account (or wise versa). You would then have to only download mail from one and get both. If you enter your templates to use the appropriate address as sender, e.g. new mail always gets the new address, replies get their original to-address, your contacts won't even notice if you don't tell them. Of course, this is not an option if you're switching addresses because the old one is full of spam. That doesn't necessarily have to impact anything else about the account, as far as I can remember. I believe I've been using the same account (actually, a composite of several accounts) spanned over several address changes. I just keep pointing them all back to the same folders from way back and things seem pretty solid. __ -Sam Current version is 4.2.10.0 | 'Using TBUDL' information: http://www.silverstones.com/thebat/TBUDLInfo.html

I have experienced enough email clients that do that by default (common Inbox), which is why I use TheBat!, but people's ways of working are different. -- Cheers, Thomas. http://thomas.fernandez.hat-gar-keine-homepage.de/ Message reply created with The Bat! 4.2.10.6 under Windows XP 5.1 Build 2600 Service Pack 3 Current version is 4.2.10.0 | 'Using TBUDL' information: http://www.silverstones.com/thebat/TBUDLInfo.html

Not sure why this is an issue; you just need to tick the folders for both accounts when you enter the search terms before pressing Start. I sometimes search for something across all accounts and all folders. There are other ways around this. Some suggestions:- 1. A filter to move all incoming mail from one of the accounts to the other. (The downside is that you may end up replying from the wrong account.) 2. Set up Virtual Folders that show you the mail from both accounts -- Best regards MFPA A nod is as good as a wink to a blind bat! New email address, same account
Hello, I've had the same email address for quite a few years but am thinking of getting a new one. My question is: is it possible to have emails from 2 different email addresses go into the same account? The reason I am asking is that I conduct a lot of searches through the text of emails in my account and having to do the same search on two different accounts will be too tedious.
