Realigning hanging indent paragraphs

I sometimes use paragraphs with hanging indents. By turning off auto-format, typing the bullet in the first line, and then in subsequent lines tabbing in (automatically to the place of the bullet), the format is as close as TB! comes to fancy, for purposes of lists or emphasis. The one problem
