Guys,

I totally agree. I just put in my new harddrive and transferred my
mail directory from OS drive back to the new drive using this
procedure. Very easy and everything is in its place.
Just wondering now the "left-over" files on my OS drive being
- smimernd.bin
-FolderTabs.cdb
-thebat_Exceptions.log

do I need to keep them or are they now redundant? They are small, so
not relevant for storage or taking up space, just prefer a clean look
if they are not relevant anymore.

Hi guys,

I just saw this thread. Yes, when you change directories within TB!,
the whole mail file will be moved to the new directory. I've done that
in the past, and I think it's a good thing.

I guess when you change the mail folder it does the move for you. I did not
know that
Thanks!

Rick,

interestingly enough I changed the directory now and TB rebuilt all
the folders and once I restarted the bat, not only did everything work
but all the old emails were already there. I did not expect that.

Yes you can revert. You can save out any new messages and import them to the
new location. If you are taking it into the shop, just copy the data folder to
your OS drive and put it back when you get the drive situation figured out

We have no reason to ask when sorrow comes,"Why did this happen to me?"unless
we ask the same question for every moment of happiness that comes our way
