Hi Ed,
Could you explain a bit more about what you're trying to do? As far as I
understand it, upgrading will update the core but leave all your regular
tiddlers as they were. The tiddler "tabs Macro" is part of the
documentation and you would only have it in your wiki if you started with

Hi Thomas,
FireFox can't dig into zip files out of the box. May be there are addons,
that can enable such a behaviour.
Depending on your operating system, your file browser can open and show zip
file content. .. But to do this there have to be the right drivers
installed.
What makes you thin
I can import a zip file containing 1 text file into Tiddlywiki by drag and
drop but can't view anything useable in the zip using Firefox.
How do I look at the contents of the zip file?

Hi Eric,
What do you think of the PDF Macro solution of Tobias Beer, Method 2 [1],
so not making the PDF into a binary, but showing an external PDF with
<> in a tiddler?
If you include many PDF's that way the file remains lighter isn't it?
BTW, haven't "seen" Tobias around here for quite some
I have upgraded for 5.1.7. to 5.1.8, and I am running into a problem.
Searched for "tabs" and then you get "tabs Macro" and "tabs Macro

On tiddlywiki.com the content shows nicely and you can try out the tabs.
On my version there is nothing to see. When in edit mode however all the

What's a proper use of this "Mark as complete" feature that appears in
every post? I tried to mark a certain reply I just answered as complete,
but it marked the whole thread...

The power of TiddlyWiki! Can get very confusing at first.
[[GettingStarted - Node.js]] is just a "wrapper" around [[Installing
TiddlyWiki on Node.js]]. It's purpose is to make the latter appear in
[[GettingStarted]] as one of the tabs. The list of tabs is auto-generated
by a filter that includes
When I switch to a custom palette, TiddlyWiki starts throwing "TypeError:
rgbColourA is null". What am I missing, or is this a bug?
Thanks.

Hi Jeremy,
There's a very little issue at tiddlywiki.com: in 5.1.8 release description:
release date still appears as TBA.
Thank you for this release (plugin management is a great addition)!
By the way, any chance to implement a charting widget?

Hi Jeremy,
I still can't successfully use the upgrader or drag a file from the period
after March 21st.
However, files dated before that (including 5.1.7 and earlier prerelease
versions) can be upgraded to 5.1.8 successfully.
If I hadn't been so impatient to see all the new features in actio
Many Thanks to Jeremy & All the Contributors!!
Little thing I found. Two identical tiddlers on TiddlyWiki.com?
There is still a tiddler called: "GettingStarted - Node.js" (8 month old)
Isn't this superseded by a newer tiddler: "Installing TiddlyWiki on
Node.js" (24 days old)

I haven't run into the problem again, so far my upgrades have been clean
from 5.1.8 pre releases to 5.1.8 official.
I only mentioned it because I ran into a similar problem with double quotes
and one of the previous pre release version but it has been solved for me
ever since

O
Jeremy,
Thanks for looking into this.
I can confirm that I am using the upgrader at the address you specified. I
started using a prerelease dating from about 21st March and my backups from
soon after this have the same problems. My backups from before this using
v5.1.7 give an error message
Does the TiddlyLock plugin work in TW5 for anyone ? If so, can someone

The drag&drop method doesnt seem to work - ceratinly not with Centos &
Firefox 37.0.1
I've managed it in TWC no problems.

Hi Neil, cmari and Duarte
I've been unable to duplicate the problem except by upgrading from an
intermediate 5.1.8-prerelease that included the bug. Can you confirm that
you are seeing the problem when you upgrade a 5.1.7 wiki?
Best wishes
Jeremy

Hi Neil, Camarillo and Duarte
Please can you confirm the version number of the wikis before you tried the
upgrade? Also, did you perform the upgrade at
http://tiddlywiki.com/upgrade.html?
Many thanks,
Jeremy
