I what you want is a common type of application in computer systems. We could
think of it as a transaction log. Where you can create a view of the thing you
are logging at a particular point in time.
I will give it some more thought and come back
anywhere.
Many of the standard lists have this feature built in, but I am hoping we can
make this easier to implement, so user lists can implement this easily.

roller, or ctrl + ctrl - ?

tiddlywiki content is already accessible via the server, by definition. Jed
has used a similar approach to make Bob wikis multi-access so it locks a

When you fold a tiddler a separate tiddler is created to indicate if its
folded or not.
If you use the Fold all Tiddlers in the Wiki toolbar (rather than on
tiddlers) all visible tiddlers will be folded and you can unfold all, or

I approach even 80% of the original design

Now I have a solution to the original thread,* thanks all.* However the
need to have a real variable feature, I think my example illustrated still
exists, if not for this case.

I note that in some ways you are using a shortcut method by setting the text
field. Perhaps consider using action create tiddler then a separate navigate
message. In fact you could remove the macro tag update and restore the tag.
Basicaly increasing and seperating out steps so you have

Remember although the tiddler is "missing" with a new link, that title is
now "live" in your wiki. It can be found.
To add to your library of approaches when you do click on a missing link
and it opens a tiddler "that is missing",
and you get the offer to edit it.

I suspect the answer is close, and within what you have suggested so far but it
is because we do not have access to real variables. I am experienced in
procedural languages. I know how to do this in other languages almost with my
eyes closed.
