Google? It doesn't sound TW specific at all, or do I misunderstand your

[tw5] Re: tiddlywiki5.tiddlyspot site stuck on step 2

2019-08-13 Thread Mat
Hi A Gloom, I'm the creator of tiddlywiki5.tiddlyspot.com (...not of
tiddlyspot itself).

See if you actually are the owner of the site ID and it was not already
taken, e.g by going to the controlpanel of the tiddlyspot, i.e go to:

http://YOURSITEID.tiddlyspot.com/controlpanel
 (exchange YOURSITEID for
your site ID)

(this has nothing to do with the controlpanel tiddler in a TW)

If you cannot log in there, then that site ID was either already taken or
you have somehow messed up with the password and are not using the same one
that you registered with. If you cannot access then there is nothing that
can be done and you should create another tiddlyspot with another site ID.

(BTW if you're on a normal speed internet then that "Step 3" should appear
within a few seconds. If it hasn't worked within 30 sec or even 20, there's
no point in waiting more. )

2019-08-13 Thread TonyM
Folks

I continue on this journey and have a basic approach established. Which I
will publish sooner of later

   - However there is reference to the *CSS box model *and specifically the
*@page
   *model.
   - If I knew how to leverage this I would be able to build pages with a
higher level of sophistication including accessing page numbers and more.
   - See this w3C Document
    Especially Table
   1 Page-Margin Box Definitions

Can anyone give me even the simplex clue how you use this *CSS box model *and
specifically the *@page *model.

I am slow close to being able to develop a fantastic page layout and
printing tool, if anyone can give me a nudge?

Regards
Tony

[tw5] Code that no longer works following upgrade to version 5.1.20

2019-08-13 Thread 'mervin mecklenburg' via TiddlyWiki
After I upgraded to version 5.1.20 from 5.1.16, the following code no
longer works.

\define droppable-today(somevar)
<$action-listops $tiddler=<> $field="tags"
$subfilter="-$(somevar)$"/>
\end

<$set name='somevar' value={{!!title}}>

<>

<$droppable actions=<>>Drop here

In the original version, the code performed two functions. It created a
list if titles of tiddlers with a certain tag, and the list could be
resorted using drag and drop. The bottom line removed the tag, and by
doing so dropped items dragged to that point from the list. Both of these
functions no longer work following the upgrade. Can anyone explain why?

[tw5] tiddlywiki5.tiddlyspot site stuck on step 2

2019-08-13 Thread A Gloom
Using FF 68.0.1 (Win8.1 64bit), NoScript disabled, private browsing &
normal modes

Step 1 works fine

(just site id, not url, lowercase, no spaces in id)
(pw, combination of lowercase, uppercase & numbers, londer than 5
characters)

(going to the url for the new wiki, it shows the classic TW layout and
control panel for tiddlyspot, so I assume Step 1 worked)

Step 2, no visible results (doesn't initiate Step 3), tried both the Step's
uplosd button and the TW stock save button, gave it more than enough time
to do something, 10 minutes orso

(used same id (not url) & pw from Step 1)
(got an error msg (id and password don't match) when I refreshed and forgot
to put the site id in, just pw, so I got some signs of life from Step 2)
(putting in incorrect id or pw doesn't evoke the warning message)

Is Chrome still the browser to use to initially set up/install the wiki?

2019-08-13 Thread TonyM
Autum,

I am currently deploying tiddlywiki onto SharePoint. place it in a site
pages library, retrofitting a wikipage library as these are favored for
load speeds. I insist on check in and checkout and only permit one editor
at a time. I use major and minor versions so visitors only see major
versions. For me there is a step needed to move from one saver to another.
I am developing my site on top of a PHP server so I save a copy, open it
with firefox timimi (file rather than server) and disable the tw-receiver
saver before renaming to *.aspx and loading into the sharepoint library.

[tw5] Re: Doubled Single Quotes Behavior in text/vnd.tiddlywiki format - do these need to be escaped or is it a bug?

2019-08-13 Thread Cade Roux
It's a code sample and it's an empty string.

As an example, the actual code in that cell is:

EXEC Doc.UpdateXP @obj = '[Config].[ConfigName]', @name = 'MS_Description',
@value = '';

It's an output of my build process that highlights database artifacts
without metadata and that is the code to add the missing metadata.

I guess I should look at the code backticks. If I put the code backticks
around it, can there be back to back ' embedded in the code?

Thanks,

Cade

Two single-quotes in a row is a wikitext formatting syntax indicating the
*start* of bold text. Thus, you have started a section of bold text, but
did not *end* it. As a result, everything that follows is being parsed as
a mal-formed HTML table.

To work around it, you only need to change *one* of the quotes in the first
set of single quotes to ... and you don't need to do anything with
the second, as it doesn't trigger the bold formatting.

Like this:

Empty Single Quotes: '
Single Quotes With a Space: ' '

Yes, I'd say it's intentional. Double single quotes is for making bold text
and the overlapping scopes of this vs the td/tr causes the problem.

Perhaps you could explain why you need double single quotes?

2019-08-13 Thread Mat
Here's a simpler solution

In the Ctrolpanel, exchange the wiki title for the following:

{{$:/HistoryList!!current-tiddler}}
TiddlyWiki

I'm here assuming what you're requesting is for the *browser tab* to show
the title of the current tiddler

If you really want to see the name of the current tidldler all the time in
the in the left bar, you just remove the div tags and only keep that
transclusion part.

I don't know how the wiki's html rile fitle title tag is constructed, but

Just a side note. An annoying feature of GG is that when someone

The more logical way for things to work would be to limit the completion

Ut-oh. I just pushed a big "parrot menu" change. Hopefully we can fit the

Also, need permission to see your file (submitted request).

Mark

I see what you doing with that.

I will go though the code and try deal with as much of the Windows
hard-coded pathing as possible.

We can certainly dump the manual trailing slashes I added on many directory
addresses.

And all libraries I think can be referenced through Unix style pathing
without problem. I don't think it would confuse a Win user.

I'll do a version so we can test that.

[tw5] Re: Using TiddlyWiki in multiple tabs?

2019-08-13 Thread TonyM
Klaus

Do you mean change the title of the tab depending on the open tiddler?

This is not the standard because you could have more than one tiddler, however
it may be possible. The tiddler title and subtitle is used to construct the tab
title. This can be changed, if not automatically for the last opened tiddler.

Does this sound on track ?

Now that the base problem is solved... Is there some way to make the title
of the browser tab reflect the name of the currently open tiddler?

E.g. instead of "My Work Wiki" I want the title to be either
"MyCurrentTiddler" or "MyCurrentTiddler - My Work Wiki".

Yes, my copies of core tiddlers had the " 1" after the title also; I
thought that, being copies (and the original tiddlers thus unaltered), they

>

I've never touched language settings and it was only with this upgrade that
problems were created.

that will rule out the startup tiddlers if you have any being the issue
>

Startup tiddlers were not the issue, but thanks to your hint I had a look
at my startup actions, tagged $:/tags/StartupAction, one by one and have
pinpointed the issue to the reveal widget(!)

So, basically the issue was that I had a few nested macros embedded in a
reveal widget in a tiddler tagged $:/tags/StartupAction whose purpose was
to evaluate whether today falls within a predefined time range.

In short, when the reveal widget evaluated to 'true' and the macro embedded
therein could fire on startup (as it was a $:/tags/StartupAction tiddler)
then no problems were created. However, when the reveal widget evaluated to
'false', TW returned the (seemingly random) $tw.language is undefined error
on startup. I have no idea how and why this should be related.

I've seen that the reveal widget was updated in 5.1.20. Although I have no
idea how the updated reveal widget evaluating to 'false' could be related
to a 'language error' when triggered as a startup action, this is what I
I've pinpointed as the problem here.

So, I'm not sure if this should be reported as a potential bug as it
appears to be an edge case. I will do look for patterns in my reveal
widgets and will report back in case of further issues.

Anyway, problem solved. Thanks again Tony & A Gloom for your suggestions!

Best regards,
Hubert
