I use TiddlyWiki in many of its aspects for most of my needs, but there
a couple of others:
Tomboy Notes is my favorite.
Another is Personal Brain. There's a bit of learning curve there, but
it's incredibly powerful for organizing your own brain. Freemind does
nearly as well, but differently.

- Standard TW2.41 on Firefox 3.04 (WinXP SP3) with US formats set in
the operating system.
- When I create a new journal, the date for the journal heading is:
Datenumber MonthName Year (a good international format, but not
the one I want)
- I've looked through the Options,
change the date format to -MM-DD ...
- I've looked through the Options, AdvancedOptions, StyleSheet stuff,
and a number of formatting examples and haven't found the answer
look in [[SidebarOptions]] and change this:
newJournal DD MMM journal
to:
newJournal -0MM-0DD journal

I just downloaded TiddlyWiki and started playing around. I can add
pages no problem but none of the changes I make to the options are not
saved. Next time I open it, it comes with default settings.

Did you download it or just open it in your browser. You have to
download it to your hard drive, then open it from
Never mind! I think I figured it out. I copied just the stylesheet
and page template from MPTW and voila - success... I even pasted in
the extra stylesheet code for the rounded theme and now it is perfect.

I have the same issue in Firefox 3 as well. I assumed it was because
I am using CS Lite for cookie management, since it won't let me set
file:// cookie permissions to allow - it keeps them as session
only. Could this be a bug in Firefox that it does not handle cookies
properly for local files?
