Not good! I logged into my MonkeyGTD page (where my whole life is
organised!) and, instead of a normal web page, I got something that
looks like html code. I don't know what it is - but I'm sure it's
techie and not what I should be seeing! My cat managed to walk across
my laptop and the
Hi Mario
After several attemps I opened part3, but just once. I'm on a Vista
64b OS. After that, I tried tiddlywiki.com and same problem, so it is
not your adaptation, it is the last version of tiddlywiki ;(.

I suggest you just give it a try by following the instructions I linked
to - if anything in particular is unclear, we'd be happy to clarify
(preferably over at http://groups.google.com/group/TiddlyWeb/).
I've just simplified the installation process so that everyone should be

Hello!
I have another newbie question.
I have an image (jpeg) showing my tiddlywiki's name in my Site Title
tiddler, and some text in my Site Subtitle tiddler. I also have
alternate text that will display if the image in the Site Title can't
be shown (like when offline).
For the alternate text
Hi,
I want to build a simple personal webpage usingTW. So obviously, I do
not want people browsing the site to see all the edit/save features. I
tried the following to make my site readonly:
div id='s_customTiddler' tiddler='customTiddler' tags='systemConfig'
config.options.chkHttpReadOnly =
Thanks, but nope, no luck. I will try it all on a clean Win7 install,
32bit this time, I just made...
Anyone else working with Win7, 64bit, and the lastest Firefox? And
perhaps using the MPTW from Tiddlyspot.com? And then with Eric's
QuickEdit installed? :-)

Still would love it if some one of you Guru's out there might have an
idea what is going on with this (I think) extra button at the start of
the button row...

You can use PublisherPlugin or Presentation plugin that can be found
here: http://lewcid.googlepages.com/presentation_empty.html#author:true
Or use your own java code like this small example:
var pos = window.location.toString().indexOf('#author:true');
if ( pos == -1 ){

OK, I am really sorry everybody, but it turns our that if I wait 5
minutes or so, then things start responding again... odd, but at least
not a critical problem.

Hi Grant
You'll have to download all tiddlers accociated with QuickEditPlugin
to make it work.
http://dl.dropbox.com/u/1064531/screendmp/empty/QuickEdit.html#QuickEditPackage
The Mptw-vertical needs you to edit the systemtiddler MptwTheme to
insert the QuickEdit toolbar into the edittoolbar..
Hi Vidyut
You can use HideWhenPlugin [1]
Then edit PageTemplate and hide the divs you want to hide;
For example;
div macro=hideWhen readOnly
div id='sidebar'
div id='sidebarOptions' refresh='content'
tiddler='SideBarOptions'/div
div id='sidebarTabs' refresh='content'
Looks like it's about time (for me) to do some cross-frame scripting
trials.
Tobias.

I recomend:
HideWhenPlugin: http://mptw.tiddlyspot.com/#HideWhenPlugin
used as Alex mentioned.
SinglePageModePlugin: http://www.TiddlyTools.com/#SinglePageModePlugin
and this:
ensureVisible=function (e) {return 0};
in your configTweaks tiddler.
I have been explaining TW to a friend recently. He got interested,
and then posted me a link to a typical Google clip, that explains
Google Docs for non-techies (http://www.youtube.com/watch?

for the unititiated, and I

Apologies - I just found this which is pretty much spot on - should
have searched first!

However, on secnd thoughts, I think it is more a technical description/
demonstration, and so perhaps doesn't quite speak to the what could

Dave Gifford has made a few presentations:

and yet another one for his NoteStorm:

This should do what you want, though I have to be fair in that I wrote
it in 2006 and haven't tested it with newer TiddlyWiki releases since:

I appreciate the reply shankar, but I'm not sure I understand (I have

getPageTitle? What goes in the parentheses?
The page's title is Seasons. So, would this be the correct text in the
tiddler?
