I have easyEdit installed from before my upgrade to 2.6.5
The Write toolbar option appears but does nothing (see below). In the
Plugin itself (not applicable) the button in the plugin works but could
damage the plugin tiddler if saved. <>

I did "a little" mptw tweaking, as I started with TW. And I made a 3
part HowTo, what I did and why. May be some things may help, if you
take the time. I tried to make the parts as straight forward as
possible.
If you download the files, it is possible to play with them and test,
what I described,
btw. It is no plugin, it is a transclusion. So there is _no_
systemConfig

it. But on the other hand it works with a toolbar definition inside
