Roy,
I have found a manual for the 425 SatSync, which was the later 2U version of
the 325. It may have what you need to get you going. Will send to you
directly.
As a quick check - see what you have on the antenna connector when unit
powered up. Check DC voltage coming out - will probably be

An R suffix to
the part number indicates a retrofitted L1 (standard 12V antenna) GPS RX.
Some also have a label stating a 3rd party retrofit GPS has been fitted.

Hi Bruce,
DoH,
You are correct the Magellen is the standard antenna type I was wrong in my

Hi Bruce,
Sorry, saw the label, but could not look inside. It was a repair shop label
so maybe they had fitted the factory uprade kit and used a misleading label.
I've only ever seen the Odetics and the Magellen OEM5000. Never seen an OEM
5000 anywhere else.

Thank you for your information. First of all I am located in West Sussex -
not so far from you ! This is not a good location for Radio signals
generally. Back to the 325-865, I have checked the antenna socket and it is
giving a 12 volt output - but my 'scope fails to see any sine wave
Not a lot of details. Maybe some business opportunities.

Several years ago I had an Odetics GPS receiver. I don't know if it's the same
one you have or not but here's a little bit of what I know about the one I had.
The data output was meant to work with a dumb terminal such as a Wyse. It had
to be told where it was in order for it to lock up and
