- what I don't know is whether they are the same polarity. The Motorola
has 5V on the core of the coax - does anyone know if the Trimble ones do
the same? If so, I'll just chuck the Trimble antenna onto the Oncore
module for testing.

question myself - I was thinking (if I get
one of these) of building a HiFi quality supply with traditional
linear regulators. Maybe not as efficient as a switcher, but far less

I got round this by buying a pair of DIY DB9 to RJ45 shells - in fact
that's how I do all my serial cables now, CAT6 in the middle.

had thought about putting the time server in the big shed and running
an underground Ethernet cable (this is a fairly reasonable proposition)
until the reflection issue came up - the shed (also steel) has a North
to South roof, so the problem would be even worse.
