There is another problem besides the software, if I remember correctly the FFT card resides on the computer, not on the PN9000 box. Jorge. On Sun, Nov 21, 2021 at 9:49 AM AC0XU (Jim) wrote: > I recently purchased an Aeroflex PN9000 system with the correct modules > for doing phase noise

We had a PN9000 at work some time back. As Rick says it came as a system. The PC ran Windows 98 and the software IIRC came on a floppy. When the PC failed we were well and truly stuck, by that time Aeroflex were no more and we had no support. We did try to get it going on another PC, but no go.

Hi. You might want to ask about that, on the Marconi Instruments, and/or IFR groups on groups.io https://groups.io/g/Marconi-Test-Instruments https://groups.io/g/IFR-Monitors There are some knowledgable ex employee types lurking on those lists who might know of a lead to follow, or where

The news may be worse that you think. I vaguely remember we had one of these a long time ago at HP/Agilent. You pretty much had to have the Dell workstation; the software didn't run on just anything. I know that the Agilent (now Keysight) PN system came with its own computer and you got an image

Hi Jim, did you buy the one from bmi-surplus? I was thinking about it for a long time. But the missing Software Problem ... I was too lazy until noch to contact  the manufactor. Maybe you could purchase a licence there. Its a nice solution, if you can make it work. All the best Norman Gesendet
