This unit is from a lot of three bought around 2014, each
part of a Racal Portable Frequency Standard in a short
rack with backup battery power supppy. One had faults

Hi,
I scanned and uoploaded the R20 and 304D manuals to ko4bb a couple of
years ago. Have a 304D which sort of works, but the meter was open
circuit and had to replace with a similar sized edgwise meter, and
an op amp to correct the range. Still have the original manual somewher,
but the
Hi,
Just a note the thanks to all who helped with the info on the above
gpsdo and the gps engine manuals. Now in the rack and seems rock solid
compared to a 10MHz gpsdo.
Looking at the Trimble manual, looks like a standard Trimble protocol.
Will connect a serial analyser inline to find out
Hi,
Looking for the user manual for the above gpsdo. At power
up, keeps repeating gps status and time, whereas there
is an internal control mode for setup. Works fine and
locks to gps, but the year is stuck at 2001, suggesting
a date rollover bug.

pix has a filter in it. dcf21r57. Its a murrata GPS bandpass filter 1575
MHz.
So that indicates its looking for a antenna. See what voltage is on the
antenna jack.
Hi,
Bought one of the above gps clocks at a radio rally last
Sunday. Looked ok on the outside, but severe corrosion
from a leaked backup battery inside. Cleaned all that up,
replaced some caps and a few other parts on the psu board
and now at least partially working. All the menus seem to
work,

I think IP address or display settings cannot be stored to that EEPROM,
it contains oscillator steering parameters etc. That is because this
EEPROM is write protected by jumper JP4, so any user settings cannot be
there.
Hi,
Thanks for all the replies. Looked into the Heol replacement gps
module, bit bullet and ordered one. Arrived today and on re
power up, the system was tracking 8 satellites 3D in 3 or 4
minutes. Quite impressive really and a great improvement on the
original module, even without the
