I know the list is mostly CW enthusiasts but how did propagation seem to you guys for the SSB test. A group of us operated Field Day style... generators and the works. Had a brief opening to EU in the evening and worked one VK early in the morning of the first day. Things didn't seem as good

I had one, Pain in the butt to put up, works well, is directional but at my site I’ve never been able to find a RX antenna that heard any better than my inverted L. Including the SAL-30. I’ve tried a K9AY, a BOG and no joy. I had a HI-Z 4Sq that I bought back when you could buy them as a kit.

That crazyI’m in the utility industry and Andrew LDF cable terminated with Type N connectors by the thousands, outside for years and no issues. Many with the old solder on type N connectors for 1/2” and more recently the newer simplified ring stop connectors and no problems for either.
