(1) Move player close to router and hard wire it to test connection from
pc to router
(2) If the player still re-buffers, replace cable from PC to router. It
could have been damaged when installing new PC.
(3) If the re-buffering stops then either hard wire or use home plugs to
hard-wire through

Silly science leading to silly conclusions presented within silly
comments will breed silly replies.
Audio/Science Value? Zero
Comic Value? 8/10

Agree. (and although I provided a link to the settings the poster
requested, I personally believe in using the defaults unless there is a
particular problem being solved, as Mnyb notes above).

If this is what you think people have been saying in this and other

can't argue with that, not in this forum anyway, if that is the level of
your thinking then it is quite legitimate to compare that dogma to that
of a primitive cult.

This thread is like a train wreck. We know we shouldn't watch, the
outcome is predictable and ugly, yet we watch anyway.
Amen, brother.
Bits, by definition, are either 0 or 1. This is a FACT and there is
nothing to argue.

Garym,
I believe to have touch cpu working as little as possible is best.
So if nas can do decode task That's best.
(Others want disable wifi or screen savers for same reason).
What makes you believe different, so letting the touch do the decode,
which is default setting.
AFAIU, receiving IP packets takes up CPU power on the Touch. With FLAC
decoding on the NAS, the number of incoming IP packages doubles,
approximately.

You don't need to convince anyone else. Just enjoy the music! ;-)
But some audiophiles seem to need to convince everyone else in order to
enjoy the music. What about them, are you saying they're wrong? ;)
I am new to the Touch (having previously used a Classic), and I just
can't get my head around how to switch from LMS to MSB.com using the
remote.
On the Classic home menu there was an option to switch music sources,
yet on the Touch it seems to be missing? Am I missing something? :-0
Switching back to the local server is as easy as choosing my music .
But why do that , a correctly configured local server means that you
basically never have to switch directly to mysqueezebox.com

Probably best to add this item to the Home menu by pressing + button
on switch to mysqueezebox.com
Thanks!!

The whole audiophile cargo cult hinges on that you should absolutely not
do controlled test in any form :)

MySqueezeBox.com? Does LMS say invalid on that page?
Also try LMS Control Panel

Because the favorite is merely the URL for the internet radio station or
