Would anyone have detailed instructions to set-up the server computer to
automatically shut-down after "x minutes" of inactivity by the Touch and
also to start-up the server when you turn on the Touch. Running Windows
XP - home.
Thank you in advance.

Nice one cjfreitag, I use a pair of A2's when I'm working out at sea on
ships. Very small but they pack a decent punch. They sound really good
with my Macbook Air and HRT Music Streamer 2+, even when the big waves
start crashing against the ship in stormy weather ;)

Ok, I went to B&H yesterday to check out the A2 speakers. Fortunately
they had a set powered up, and while it was not the ideal listening
environment at least I was able to play some ALAC files off my iPhone to
get an idea of the sound. Well, I walked out of the store with a pair of
speakers and t

please pardon my ignorance, but how do I connect to it. I type

Anyone know if the Micromega MyDAC will work?
It has a USB 1.0 and 2.0 switch in the back...

Never had a general cover art problem (some problems with 7.6.0 betas
due to malformed databases ,a fixed bug) there are some reported minor
bugs but in genral I had cover art since 2008 when i got my duet all
7.7.x and 7.8 are imo trouble free in that respect .

Hi, sorry about not replying earlier, it's been a busy week!
I've tried mp3tag, as suggested but there seems to be no change in the
situation, which is annoying as it was a great shout...
Any other things to try!?

install the LMS or SBS you want from here. Then players will
automatically update/downgrade to get to the matching firmware.

LMS's Smart Gain would be a bad idea for random tracks of music -- or
playlists with single tracks from a variety of albums -- with wide DR,
although I don't
SOLVED:
I was following up on Mnyb's suggestions about opening ports and trying
to find out if the Buffalo Linkstation had any configuration options for
a firewall or opening ports and found a reference to later firmware
having options to enable uPnP. I updated the firmware to v2.1,
reinstalled
This issue very much depends on the kind of music you listen to, e.g. in
"classical" music volume normalisation is a really very, very bad idea.
