In addition to getting something with sufficient horsepower to run LMS, I would also suggest using something that is sufficiently "open" to allow you to install what you want. Consider this example. There are already changes in LMS 7.8.0 (currently in beta version) that provide support for TuneI

I use a Pi with Squeezeplug and Samba attached to a hardrive and the router- a kind of cheapskate NAS. This serves my Squeezebox Touch and plays music up to 24/92. I control the hole thing using my IPad and IPeng. It's quick and slick and I'm very happy with the sound quality.
