I was very careful to make sure the adapters I tried were correct.
I actually tried my Classic 3 one first (5v same plug but only 2a) and
when nothing happened I then tried the 2.5a one.
Polarity is correct.

With a duet receiver this routine is initiated by pushing the button

No, the setting is in the LMS web UI.

I have been experiencing an ongoing issue where after a period of idle
time, my touch becomes disconnected from my music library. In order to
reconnect I need to power the touch off and on, wait a couple of music
then using iPeng I have to drag and drop the touch to my music on the
multi player
Ok, I feel stupid.
Between Googling things and going back to a thread I started TWO YEARS
ago, I figured it out.
I DID download the plugin, but never put in my Spotify username and
password!
I also needed to refresh LMS on the laptop I am using.
Once I did both of those things, it worked
Well, as I mentioned on my other thread, I DID have the 3rd party
plug-in downloaded, but not installed.
All works like a charm now.

Correction: it worked like a charm until I shut down the laptop I use
for my LMS server
NOW it brings up playlists on the Touch, but then messages pop up that
connection was reset by host and tracks say 'stopped'.
NOW what?
