Yes good wifi receptions is crucial , I think I have >90 everywhere .
Notice one thing when running LMS on a real computer SoX resampling and
flac and faad and lame etc works :) sounds like gibberish ?
These are apps installed with LMS that helps transcoding and playback of
formats that are not

I have very high signal strength (circa 90%) the Touch player. Perhaps I
am wrong but I have the impression that the WiFi bandwidth can fall when
the signal strength drops beyond a certain level. Please correct me is

I ordered it online today. Found an Aussie shop with a sale for a kit
with all sorts of bits. (Including the NOOB i won't be needing.)
Think I'm going to have to source a router and ethernet cable to do the
downloads. Modem has one Ethernet which goes to the PC

Thanks everyone! I tried flac 24/96 over WiFi. Was OK, with one short
dropout. If I go higher resolution, it might be a problem, but for now
it will work. I read up on the Raspberry stuff, and that looks like an
inexpensive solution for running LMS and using the Ethernet connection.
