it's on the HDD (not the Touch). connect the HDD to the MAC, and
somewhere in the MAC file

Added anything to the HDD besides music? Tried connecting HDD to
computer running diagnostics error checking? HDD self powered or
relying on USB bus power?

supportive file my have been added. how can I run diagnostics error
checking on that drive through my Mac? Also just a reminder, what music

Diagnostics are done from the Media Server Control Panel diagnostics
tab. Also using the Advanced tab one can look at the server and scanner

I used to run my Touch w the HDD directly attached but switched to a
network as it was more flexible /less problematic. On the Touch itself w

I assume you are using an external HHD directly attached to the USB port
of the Touch to play local music files stored on the HDD ? What I
would try is to press in the tiny pin on the back of the Touch which
will then bring up a screen telling you Factory Settings have been
restored. Then go
