That looks like a systemd message. I fixed this on my own system by
making a systemd config for it. Not sure if I did it right.

I downgraded systemd to the version 208 in official Vivid repos.
Now booting works perfectly and fast.
It may be worthwhile to tell that I have purged systemd-shim, cgmanager and
libcgmanager0 from my setup.
So this really is a pure systemd booting setup now.

Even though I get the proper icon and all the network connection
information appears to be correct (both as displayed by ifconfig and
through the NM u/i), I cannot ping or connect to any service outside my

The fix released in LP: #1258202 (logrotate version 3.8.6-1ubuntu2) adds
those lines to the default logrotate.conf file, but I got some custom
configs in mine and so I had to manually change

I have a workaround for this, use Gnome instead of Unity.
It took me a while to realize/figure out that it's pretty painless to
just run a different window manager on Ubuntu. I did look at maybe
switching to a different lock screen but there was no straightforward
way to do that.
It turns out
I've was also able to reproduce the frame jump issue today, so my
theories in comment #32 don't have a bearing on the bug.
