I can reproduce this XIM problem on a system which was upgraded to
16.04, but not on a fresh Ubuntu 16.04. However: If I create and switch
to a new user, the problem is not present. In other words: Some
leftovers from previous version(s) in the home directory of my main user

1) Connect headset by turning it on.
2) Set headset to headset (not a2dp) mode using blueman-manager
3) Disconnect headset from blueman-manager
4) Reconnect headset from blueman-manager; it will show Audio

kernel to 4.6 does not fix it. Editing the systemd file mentioned above

I've downgraded a clean, up to date 12.04 amd64 VM to libnss3 and
libnss3-1d version 2:3.21-0ubuntu0.12.04.3. Then I set up a new user
with encrypted home (`adduser --encrypt-home foo`). I verified that I

Still unsupported as of 16.04 and yakkety for my hardware (Dell Latitude
E7270).
The workaround involves replacing
"/lib/firmware/ath10k/QCA6174/hw3.0/board.bin" with a version from
Killer Networking's website, as per:

Title:
Laptop sometimes doesn't detect external monitor
I've forced the lowgfx setting with command from comment #9 and the fade
in fade out animations are gone.
But I can't change the launcher icons size. The slider in control center
isn't working. Also The workspace switcher can't be enabled and it
disapeared from launcher. I have it enabled in
re-opening, and moving this bug to clarify status. The general solution
proposed here is the one we wish to use in the future, but we assume
that we can simply disable this feature at lower levels in devices
launched before this bug is fixed.
