I got so sick and tired of these frequent crashes and not being able to
listen to music or adjust the volume that I ended up downgrading the
pulseaudio packages using their Yakkety version (the rest of the system
is Zesty). Everything's been fine since then.

Some additional info:
Bluetooth stop wokring after hibernation, but not always. Only way to get it
work again is to completly power off computer and turn it on, reboot doesn't
help.

Yes, I share your frustration. However, the workaround to change the
permissions of the /var/lib/dhcp directory to dhcpd:dhcpd is working for
me. We shouldn't need a workaround, but at least there is one available.

Confirmed with a new machine. I tried this with ubuntu 16.04 and 17.04,
kept getting the same result, a blank modal dialogue after typing the

@clel yes under pointer speed I have two sliders Acceleration and Sensitivity.
Neither has any effect.
BUT I was able to fix it today by removing libinput and installing evdev! Now
both sliders work like before and I can increase acceleration. I don't see any

Here are two new observations on this issue:
(1) After my brand new install of 17.04, I wiped the entire hard drive
of my computer and re-installed 16.10 / Gnome. Online Accounts worked as
expected for a while, then the bug came back as described in my initial
post. So it seems this is not related
