A workaround for bug 1156398 is to deactivate the system-config-printer
applet and/or the system-config-printer D-Bus service by removing the

necessary, usually only if you report a bug and the developer taking
care of the bug tells you to use this mode. Make sure to stop using this
mode when you are done investigating.
To get back to the normal debug mode use

Can this be re-checked on the current version (1.5.2)? Debian has this
version in Main and it is synced to Ubuntu. Debian is using this version
for Ghostscript 9.15 which I have synced into Ubuntu so that Ubuntu has
the current Ghostscript and minimum delta to the Debian package.

So most probably this is not a CUPS bug as the files missing do not
belong to CUPS. The bug is probably caused by whatever package which
contains the program which removes the files. As the files belong to
snakeoil I add a snakeoil task, perhaps the maintainer of snakeoil knows
better how these
