I expected changes that I made to files in
`/etc/NetworkManager/dnsmasq.d/` to come into effect when I used
NetworkManager's init script to restart it.
But the dnsmasq process is not controlled from the

I can't seem to use network manager to set up a connection via my
Android smartphone's USB tethering.
The device, if it shows up in the network manager gnome menu, shows up
as "device not managed".
If there's any other information I can attach, please tell me.

So... I've figured out a workaround for this issue. Works every time.
1. Turn off both my built-in audio device and my HDMI device
2. Run VLC with the video I wish to play
3. While it is playing turn the HDMI device back on
Viola! Audio instead of unbearable noise!

On artful, no working dns

I have no resolution until I manually add a `nameserver 8.8.8.8` to
`/run/resolvconf/resolv.conf`.
And if `resolvconf` is not installed, I don't know how to add a
nameserver. So I keep that installed.
I'm using Network Manager and it should take care of adding nameservers.

The primary monitor, Microstep 24", is capable of 144 Hz refresh rate
and I do use that regularly in Windows 10.
When I set the rate to anything higher than 60 Hz (120 or 144) I get a
wrong pixel pattern. See attached photos.
