Since upgrading to Trisquel 8.0 I can't watch most of the DVDs I have.
Although the discs are recognized and the autostart menu opens, VLC starts
playing but in an instant stops again. The debug window doesn't show any

1. Checked the DVD I had used with "md5sum -c md5sum.txt" -> it seemed to be
faulty, several error messages.

I have more problems with my two usb ports.
As my hub fails, I have connected the keyboard and the mouse directly to the
laptop. After I plug them out, my usb flash drives are not recognized when I
plug these in---in either port.
