I am back :)
I signed up an account here: https://devel.trisquel.info/users/sign_up and
did my first contribution.
akfoss: Thank you for the patch, welcome back and merry grav-mass!
Anyway, what version of Debian are you using?
Oh, and another (and unrelated) thing: Free Software as defined according to
the 4 freedoms isn't about how a project is governed.
Surely you meant Jaunty/Karmic/Lucid/Maverick/Natty/Oneiric/Precise/Quantal
(after which, or maybe after Precise? it became clear they were moving to
Debian)/Wheezy?
'Debian is neither the oldest distro'
But the oldest one with a significant userbase.
'nor the sole domain of freedom loving developers.'
That depends on what you call 'freedom loving'. However, it is the only big
distro which can be used in freedom, offering a 100% free repository.
To be awfully, annoyingly (sorry) exact GnewSense pretty much counts as a
copy of one of its editions and Trisquel not too far from being that, and
Arch (to which Parabola is tagged in very much the same way, I think) isn't
exactly small.:)

Yeah, that makes my point. What do you want to express with that besides the
fact that debian dominates the free software world?

You are right! slackware, has a lot of white hairs, it is one of the oldest
one early 1993.
Dammed I been rap up with Trisquel, unfortunatly my first official distro
ever introduced for almost 2 years. is time to move on
Yes, I do realise that (which is why I wrote sorry - because of how rather
pointless the rest of the post was going to be :)
Anyway, install the your-freedom package and I reckon Arch can be used in
freedom.
And, personally, I count free 'clones' of big distros effectively as big as

Well, I reccommend Gnewsense or Parabola, rather than Debian.
Debian isn't the worst thing ever, at least. It has a non-free repository,
though, so be cautious.
Well, Parabola'supdates come a wee bit often.
And if you want Debian 7 you can't go for GnewSense...(when will they
start their Wheezy-based version?)
Not too long ago the big question was When will they start their
Trusty-based version?
(I jest, I jest...)
Sorry to read that but you do know that there has been a post from Ruben
answering some of your concerns, don't you? Here it is:

in case you missed it. Would be nice to have you on our boat
WHAT is Debian?
The Debian Project is an association of individuals who have made common
cause to create a free operating system. This operating system that we have
created is called Debian.
An operating system is the set of basic programs and utilities that make your
computer run. At
Without Debian, the whole universe of GNU/Linux would collapse into dismay
and every one under Linux, would be pushing daisies of the past.
Er, no.
Without Debian things would look a lot different, but - Debian is neither the
oldest distro, nor the sole domain of freedom loving developers.

Hi,
I left Trisquel. I had been constantly using Trisquel since version 5.0 as my
primary operating system but now I feel that it is not my type. My conclusion
was that users have no power and everything is done in background. Linux and
GNU have thought me that we should *develop together*
Debian? so what's the diference? Debian isn't edorsed by FSF yes. But i find
more easy to use Triquel.
Thank you for at least telling us. If you read the relevant part of
wikipedia [1] you'll see this is intended to be a friendly statement.
