He didn't, he can't boot manually (cryptomount -a etc.). Specifically because of that vmlinuz thing. To me this is not a Libreboot issue, but a problem with the way Trisquel was install (I didn't have that issue, personally).

That's just a guess, but maybe try to go in the /media folder and create a /usr folder, then try again (you'll most likely need to be as root user to do so). I don't know if it's supposed to be there by default or not, I can't remember exactly how it went for me.

It's rather straightforward once you get a bit used to the CLI. Semi-pro tip: don't type the ROM's name every time, just type the first 2 characters, and press TAB. It will be witten for you.

Wait, I just remembered something: it's possible to access the HDD from a liveUSB. I can't remember how the procedure is called, but I know I've detailed it in this forum (and did it obviously). Oh right, it('s called chrooting, and it might be easier to troubleshoot while being logged.

Then you need to start from here. Did you flash Libreboot yourself? Did you install Trisquel yourself? You need to know how the volume group and the logical volume were named (either by you or the person who installed Trisquel), as well as the passphrase that allows you to decrypt the HDD.
