So they have a proprietary format (dlc). I guess there software for that
proprietary format is proprietary? If so, what needs to be removed to
make it free? Will deleting some files make it free or does it need a
big modification?

JDownloader.org is reliable. Knows about webm too.
Codec is software implementation. Format is the standard.

Just tested svn of SMPlayer (from Arch user repositories as it isn't in
Parabola's repositories) and YouTube works fine.
Are you sure it is not a protection from the browser ? I've found the same
problem but only with Abrowser (at least on trisquel). When I tried to load a
youtube video on any other Ditribution (even Parabola) with Firefox, Chrome,
Rekonq, Konqueror, Midori etc... I never saw the Click to Play

Hi,
I'm using Trisquel 5.5; installed xine-plugin; disabled gnash;
re-enabled greasemonkey/linternamagica, and my subscription videos that
have html5 option play as they should, since I'm in the html5 trial.
For other videos in my subscriptions, the linternamagica insertion

MiniTube still works. The latest svn of SMPlayer should work too.
Hi again to all, fellows:
Does anyone tried to play a video from YouTube via Browser/LinternaMagica or
even using SMPlayer in streaming ? ... Seems like YouTube has upgrade its

Hi, all!
I'm another frustrated linterna magica user, trying to get youtube
videos to play in gnash player. The videos do not start automatically.
Is this a known issue? I have to manually hit 'click to play', which
I cannot do, since it is inaccessible to someone who needs the Orca
