I like Arc also! However I find that it makes menu fonts far less readable. Xubuntu's Greybird theme seems like a nice halfway point between classic and modern desktops. I think most people would feel comfortable with it. Although you and I find it easy to tweak desktop settings, it is not

Just have a look at how much space LibreOffice uses and you will see that most that is not "unnecessary". New users like to have all the bells and whistles by default. It is a shame modern software has become so bloated :(.

I have been able to fix it downloading the key manually and then adding it in Systems Settings > Software and Updates > Authentication > Import key. Select your key and it was solved for me.

Trisquel 8 has had a complete overhaul. The chosen DE is MATE. Xfce can be installed easily via terminal wuth a few trivial commands. I don't think Ruben has the time to make several ISO's to suit every need and taste.

Trisquel 8 isn't finished and like all in development ISO's is bigger than what the final release will be. Never mind that we do have Trisquel Mini. The latest final release of Xubuntu is 1.6 gigsthe same size as mainline Ubuntu which has a full DE. Even Lubuntu is approaching a 1 gig
