That is because Windows' kernel sends the (proprietary) firmware to the Wifi card and it survives the reboot (the power supply does not stop)... but that is still proprietary software you run: bad for your freedoms!

Tried the latest V8 on my LG i5 AIO and it is great except no wifi networking is possible. This network is listed as Intel Wireless 3160. This is the only method I have to connect so unless I can download and install whatever is needed using another machine, I cannot run Trisquel on this
