The part of closed captions is now solved :D For those who needs to get subtitles via mps-youtube you need to download gcap. You can get it by apper/ synaptic etc. Now retrieve the link via mps-youtube and then copy to other terminal gcap xx (that link you retrieved). Once downloaded open

Compiling from source is frustrating. I've never had much luck with it either and avoid it when possible. Come back with an error message and your makefile and maybe someone can be of more help. Good luck!
