Thank you David, we will wait when you are ready then ready to translate.
Good job!
A friendly reminder that we were promised a ruski forumello. I am impatient.

Ко мне уже пнишла любовь. Да и нет у меня
повода на нее злиться. Я только-что встал и
уже устал. От любви -- никогда!
Heh, it made me smile :)
Благодарные пользователи Трискел
навсегда торжественно приветствуют Вас
товарищ Дэвид за Ваши услуги.

Hi, friends!
Sorry for this very late reply, I've been really quite busy these last two
weeks and have only performed some minimal Trisquel tasks regarding new users
and similar stuff.
I've read your messages and I'll work into this request, at first I was going
to reply that it would be
persist, my friend, persist o/
Davis hasn't sent me any answer. Anyway I created issue for feature request
https://trisquel.info/en/issues/24619
I hope maybe sometimes it will be done.
That's all for the moment.
Send mail to David.
I can start to translate, thisn't problem. The problem - I cannot add new
language to the website. It looks that this page is done with Drupal. I
suspect that only website's admin can add a new language in Drupal interface.
Why Trisquel website isn't translated into Russian?
well a good ration for that is in your hands be the first one to translate
and stop your worries.
I sent him e-email and didn't get the answer.
The answer is: "nobody cared enough."
The solution is in the second reply. MBanana proposed to make contact with
David.
Did you contact David?
I didn't get any reply too, man :(
Looks like this topic led me to nowhere. I didn't get help from anybody about
this topic :(
> We should assume that any proprietary software developed by Google is not

And we should assume that any proprietary software developed by google,
amazon, facebook, apple, microsoft is violating basic freedoms... and
democracy in consequence.
When you are using youtube-dl or downloading videos from youtube, you are
feeding the google (saying which videos are having success: very good for the
google business model) -> Do not feed the google ;-)
> I admit JavaScript could be a problem with privacy.
Yes, all proprietary software is a problem, but invasion of privacy is integral
to Google's business model. We should assume that any proprietary software
developed by Google is not privacy-respecting.

He said DRM'd so I thought there was a problem with the download. That got us
on the long winding road down the path. While I don't see any big issue with
youtube-dl, I admit JavaScript could be a problem with privacy.
> We

Yes, although in this case the distinction does not make much of an ethical
difference. DRM and proprietary JavaScript are both bad for freedom. Even if
the proprietary JS executed by youtube-dl does not constitute DRM, we should
not recommend it in this foru
Yes, we are repeating ourselves.
I don't mind how you call it but I didn't understand you at first. We should
use precise language. Calling it DRM lost me. Those files are not restricted
in any way. I can download them, watch them, copy them and share them all I
like. Youtube has no contro
Well, would you say that software that controls how and when you can read
your book is not a part of DRM?
I think that we both are getting too balky :) I have to prepare for history.
Have a good time, loldier!
Non-free JavaScript is not DRM.
..So those "recordings" that have a signature meant to be used to prevent
users to download a video are examples of DRM system that Youtube built to
prevent users from viewing media. You should consider it DRM. You are forced
to use YouTube's proprietary software.
Well, videos of группы Ноль
These recordings are for sale on Apple's Itunes.
I think it's a lesser evil to use youtube-dl and download them from Youtube.
Please do not use google and companies... There are plenty of other places
where to share videos!
Do Not Feed The Google!
It has no bearing. "DRM" that is easily by-passed has failed, so it's
recommended to break it. Only DRM that is impenetrable or unbreakable is an
issue.
You need to break Content Scrambling in order to watch or rip a DVD movie.
Doing so with libdvdcss is not an issue with freedom.
But I w
Recordings do not :) You are right. But in order to download them you have to
run proprietary software that will deal with signatures found in some files.
(just as explained here) this is DRM. You can not get a copy of a video file,
because YouTube won't allow you to do so.
You conflate things. These recordings have no DRM. Once downloaded, they can
be used as you wish. No restrictions in them. They can be copied or played
back on any device.
Proprietary JavaScript does not make it DRM.
Well, it does, my friend:
https://superuser.com/questions/773719/how-do-all-of-these-save-video-from-youtube-services-work#answer-773998
(README file by GPast)
And unfortunately they make it extremely hard to download videos containing
popular works of singers.
It has nothing to do with "DRM".
And this is a problem. Youtube-dl may (and it does) execute proprietary
JavaScript in order to get something.
Youtube-dl has no difficulty downloading them. I just did.
Hm, both of these videos are DRM'ed. This is why I prefer using avideo over
youtube-dl. I will try to search for them, when I have time :)
The same Brake song song is included on a compilation here.

It made me smile:)
This video can not be downloaded because of YouTube's DRM though.
I am native Russian speaker too! So I am always ready to offer my help.

Russian language is the official working language in UN.
Yeah pendejo! what ever fits your desire!
Just chiming in to confirm I wholeheartedly support this, I second it, and I
third it, comrade Knight. +1
