I restarted the build without clearing out my local repo, and it ran to
completion. So it does look like an intermittent maven problem and not
a problem with the rc. It's strange that I seem consistently unable to
build the whole distro from a clean repo, though.

Hi Ant,
Ideally I'd imagine a menu item titled 'Documentation' under 'SCA Java' or
under 'Tuscany SCA'. Clicking on this will open up a page that lists all
the documentations under SCA Java. One of the links in that list will
probably be 'Tuscany Architecture and Programming Model'. Clicking

Hi Venkat,
I must be looking at the wrong place. I don't see documentation when I go to
SCA Java. Instead I see the SDO and DAS links on the SCA java page. Am I
looking at the right place?

Re. the point about how to link extension descriptions into the site. We
have a page called Extension Guide (distinct from the Extension Developers
Guide) that is on the left hand menu and lists all the extensions and should
be linked into the description pages like the one Ant has just made.
I get 'not premitted' when I click on this link.

Hi guys,
just a minor comment as you folks are transitioning to this new confluence web
site schema.
You are now using a template to beautify the wiki content. The result is an
automatically generated HTML page. An additional benefit is that HTML renders faster and

HI Haleh,
There isn't a 'Documentation' menu item. Thats what I am talking about
getting our menus organized. Now there is a 'Guides' menu set where I think
all the docs are being linked.

Raymond,
You helped me figure out what was going on.
For my service, with Java operation like:

SDO was not detected as the target databinding and therefore no
wapperHandler was found by Input2InputTransformer.
Now, the reason SDO wasn't detected as
Hi, Scott.
For now, you can use @DataBinding at the operation level to declare the
databinding behind the interface mapping.
Do you have better ideas to avoid this annotation? I don't see a good one
that can cover all cases.
Thanks,

Raymond,
I don't have a better idea to cover all cases... but I think it would be
nice to optimize for the case that all inputs (and maybe all inputs, output
and faults together even) use the same databinding.. in a way that a
Tuscany-specific annotation isn't needed.
Also, I thought we must
How about what was suggested - during DataBindingJavaInterfaceProcessor
processing we could set the databinding we find at the input type level on
the operation level as well. - what are the issues with doing that?

Hi,
Here is my understanding of the Spec about the URI for a service binding:
Let's assume that we have the following declaration:

service: s1
binding: name=b1 uri=uri1
binding: name=b2
binding:

The assembly spec allows us to declare targets for a component reference.

following is quoted from the spec.
Note that a binding element may specify an endpoint which is the target of

That's right Scott. The only current solution is to manually fix up
(split) the generated method. A future possibility is to add a large
model option (like EMF has), which will generate a completely different
pattern (i.e., the method initializes the metadata by loading it from a
file).
