ABC moved their NASCAR coverage to ESPN because of This Week- since NASCAR had moved to earlier starting times, and ABC News didn't want to lose This Week on the west coast. NBC does the same thing for Meet The Press, however they had figure skating that preempted MTP out west this Sunday. On T

NBC never overstuffed the between inning breaks in the 80s- but back then breaks were shorter too. Plus NBC preempted everything for the playoffs-they might show their Monday Night Movie, but that was it(and most Monday games in that era started at 3pm to avoid MNF.) On Friday, October 14, 201
