[twitter-dev] xAuth
Hi Twitter API How can I request to extend my xAuth? I believe my xAuth has been expired for the app. I applied xAuth for preparing the Twitter developer book last year. It was approved for a few months. Now my xAuth app doesn't work any more. xAuth may be expired and shut down. Now the publisher has delayed the editing process. I need to gain xAuth access in order to update and demo the app. What could I do now? Re: [twitter-dev] xAuth
Hello Bess, Is it indeed not working? Tried TwURL [1]? It’s generally not a really good idea to share API keys / secrets, though, as it’s also rate-limited… [1]: https://github.com/marcel/twurl -ev On Apr 23, 2011, at 15:22, Bess wrote: Hi Twitter API How can I request to extend my xAuth? [twitter-dev] OAuth token lifetime
If my app has used OAuth to log on, and can now send tweets, how long can I use the token for? Is it indefinite, or a set amount of time, after which I have to repeat the OAuth logon process again? [twitter-dev] We need to introduce a Social Code
...and Twitter is the best place where to start. It would be great that in our public profile whe have a code, like the geek code, but expression our interests not in more global aspect, without directly entering in politics, religion or any other aspect that may raise conflicts. It would be something like: P+ S- L++ R-- T++ That means: I am a Private property defender. I do not practice much Sports I am a great defender of Liberty I am not Religious at all I am a great fan of Technology I don't mean these five aspect are the most important. Twitter should open a debate to decide which aspect are the best to profile us in a 360 degrees view. I detail it much more in my last post: http://blognologos.blogspot.com/2011/04/el-codigo-social-o-social-code.html My english, as you can see, is not very good, and always takes me too much to translate it. But I will :-) If you like the idea and understand the great beneficts of it, we should start defining the code and the aspects to evaluate. The geek code is quite complex to emulate it. We need, to start, something more simple and understable to the masses. Over the time, we could improve it, adding new aspects, or new modifiers to every aspect (as in the geek code). Is it indefinite, or a set amount of time, after which I have to repeat the OAuth logon process again? Hi, quote from the FAQ: How long does an access token last? We do not currently expire access tokens. Your access token will be invalid if a user explicitly rejects your application from their settings or if a Twitter admin suspends your application. If your application is suspended there will be a note on your application page saying that it has been suspended. - http://dev.twitter.com/pages/oauth_faq -- Twitter developer documentation and resources: http://dev.twitter.com/doc API updates via Twitter: http://twitter.com/twitterapi Issues/Enhancements Tracker: http://code.google.com/p/twitter-api/issues/list Change your membership to this group: http://groups.google.com/group/twitter-development-talk

I started receiving reports of Woah there! errors on Tuesday 4/19. Error says This page requires some information that was not provided. [twitter-dev] App Changed to Inactive - What To Do?
My app stopped working this week after humming along for over a year. Trying to figure out what's up. Have not changed anything on my end. Just discovered in my registered apps page that my app is tagged inactive. It's a low use app. I have no emails or contact from Twitter saying I have done anything wrong or what I should do. Just bam no longer active. Don't know who to contact and am wondering what to do next because I would like to fix whatever issue is amiss and fly right (so to speak). [twitter-dev] Problem with parameters in /statuses/user_timeline
Hi there! I've been using the Twitter API since last year, but today I noticed a problem in the method I mentioned in the subjet: statuses/ user_timeline. When I try to apply the count or since_id parameter, the API simply ignores it. For example, requesting with ?count=1 returns the same that without this parameter. Same for ?since_id=xxx This bug appears both in Twurl and on my App (I'm using tmhOAuth for PHP). Please, reply as soon as possible with any solution. [twitter-dev] Re: trying to register a twitter dev account
Guess I'll answer part of my own question ... Was regenerating the OAuth keys I use for testing and noticed that the Connections part of the profile is what I was missing. So on a hunch I just went to /apps with my new account and bob's-your-uncle there was the magic page. Of course this *still* doesn't let me sign into the dev.twitter.com site - but I only wanted to do that to get to the register app page.
