So if I want trending over time (more than 7days) I'm going to have to call that data and then store it in a DB? Hi Peter, Thanks for the response. I'd like to calculate on the fly. I'm not sure there's a reason to rewrite data that already exists on the twitter servers. The only issue would be if there services weren't available. I'm just trying to figure out how to access twitters data on the fly. One thing you might consider is writing to a google spreadsheet the data you get back from your twitter query. You can use this instead of a DB. You can then write very simple queries to the spreadsheet and rapidly produce a visualization, among many other cool things. I'm new to python and just want to install the twitter module, but no one on here explains how, probably because this is a common function for veterans. How do I install this or any module? I've downloaded the tar file to my downloads folder on my mac. thanks
