One other thing to watch out for is when you make an account into a Schema normal, non-sql users, will not have access to the files anymore. If you want to use the account as a Schema and as a regular UV account you can do so but you will need to grant permissions to the non-sql defined users.

What are you using to connect to the UV database? What is it you're seeing that they are not moving in the respective direction? Has your terminal definition file been modified? Check your ...\uv\terminfo\v directory and see if any of the files have a different modification date. In

We're a Datatel client also, and have the same problem. It seems to happen most often when do UniQuery stuff with i-descriptors, especially i-descriptors that call subroutines (not necessarily Datatel subroutines, sometimes the UniData subroutines that are meant to be used in i-descriptors)

IF you run the debug versions of Unidata, Unidata techs can read the core dumps and make sense of what is in them. They are found in the bin directory: cleanupd.d cm.d kp.d lib.d restart.d sm.d smm.d systest.d tm.d udt.d Note the size of udt.d is much larger than udt, as it has a symbol table.

I had converted normal UV accounts to a schema for one client because it improved the access via ODBC/ADO. You could then access the data files externally as SQL tables or normally in UV. Just remember to grant 'public' sufficent access for the normal UV users to work. You can do SQL statements
