I'm looking for feedback from those in any industry about your report
needs with U2 and what tools you use to solve them. In short, Entrinsik
has serious inroads in the academic community and Informer is a
reasonably good and inexpensive tool for most reports.

Two things. First I tend to agree with the number of columns. Perhaps the
report is trying to do more than just a couple of things. Consider evaluating
the various uses of this report and producing more, smaller reports that
provide only what the needs are.

As an FYI, I'm sitting in a meeting now were we are pulling a check-in to use a
re-entrant version of the function for our latest build to fix this issue. You
should expect a fix in 11.2.4 unless something goes wrong.

It does not affect Windows. At this point, we are not *planning* any further
11.1.x releases so we can focus on the 11.2.x and .NEXT releases of UniVerse
and moving the technology forward.
I also misspoke on 11.2.4 as it was a mistake in our issue system. It is
actually 11.2.3.
Several have responded to my request about U2 reporting with feelings
that mirror my own, but now I have a different yet related question.
On Unidata 7.3.3, what limit is causing the following in a report:
too many names in LIST
It seems to appear around 150 fields - if I drop to 149, it runs
Does your query use the LIMIT keyword? This is an internally hardcoded limit
that was increased, IIRC, in 7.3.6 to 250.

Without knowing exactly what you are doing, why not take a look at ODBC and
linking an excel sheet to your database and use the powerpivot to create your
report?
If you are really doing a ETL you need a tool or a programmer.
I've pulled over 300k worth of records without an issue. Although the
