RE: [U2] Locking Error (Maybe SB+, maybe UV)
UV File Triggers originated from UV SQL Table Triggers. Not surprising they enforce this requirement. Basic database programming stuff (I guess!), which is not the norm in PICK-style DBMS applications. ;-) -Original Message- From: [EMAIL PROTECTED] [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] On Behalf Of Charles Barouch Sent: Saturday, May 27, 2006 3:36 AM To: u2-users@listserver.u2ug.org Subject: RE: [U2] Locking Error (Maybe SB+, maybe UV) Mark, That appears to work. RE: [U2] UV; RetrieVe's xml to Excel
Your right, I did not mean anything by it. I greatly appreciate the support I have received from this list and I do not expect to receive replies from all of my postings. I simply felt that if it was going to be just Adrian and me that we could do so just as well off line as to clutter up the list with our conversation. Also, Adrian had requested information on how to post a snippet of code to the list that might solve the problem. Since I do not know how that would be accomplished, I suggested that we do it off line where we could simply attach the necessary documents. I hope the list as a whole will please accept my sincere apologies if I have offended anyone. I was simply trying to be a good list member. Thanks for your response, which gave me the opportunity to apologize. Just because everyone did not respond does not mean people are not interested. Do you want 200+ emails saying I want it from each member of the group, that is what we don't want I would suspect. Better still if Adrian is able to provide it then, it would be better suited to put it up on u2ug and then notify the list that it is there Just my thoughts. -Original Message- From: [EMAIL PROTECTED] [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] On Behalf Of Tom Dodds Sent: Monday, 29 May 2006 12:01 a.m. To: u2-users@listserver.u2ug.org Subject: RE: [U2] UV; RetrieVe's xml to Excel Thanks Adrian, I would appreciate it. [U2] Universe Java
I was wondering what IDE if that folks are using to develop Universe/Java ? From time to time I mess around with Java, and I would like to use something that will be able to expose all the properties/methods of the UniObjects. I was using Visual Cafi and I remember that it did not do this. I think that program is non-existent. So, I need something else and Im looking for suggestions. So, all of you Java guys and gals what do you use to develop in Universe/Java ? Anthony -- No virus found in this outgoing message. Checked by AVG Free Edition. RE: [U2] Universe Java
Redback makes the entire U2 structure available to both .Net and Java. The real beauty of the product is that it's strictly an interface which allows you to fully utilize and work natively in the environment of your choice *if* that's what you want. You also have the flexibility to do as much or as little of your business logic in U2 as you see fit. Use Redback and pick your favorite IDE. Anthony, I was wondering what IDE if that folks are using to develop Universe/Java ? From time to time I mess around with Java, and I would like to use something that will be able to expose all the properties/methods of the UniObjects. I use eclipse - I finally got around to upgrading last week (3.1.2) and it has some new goodies. To use the UOJ stuff just include the jars in the java build path of your project (bring up project properties, click on the libraries tab then add external jars. Once you have done that you get full code completion and javadocs (such as they are...sigh). The editor also has some other goodies like immediate bug highlighting (similar to word underlining your typos), warnings like variables not used etc.) and built in Ant support), not handling checked exceptions etc. I've not looked at Netbeans for a few years but Sun have really been pushing it along recently and I've read that its pretty good as well. One thing I remember from the 029 days was correction stickers for punch cards. If you needed to correct a mispunched card, you could cover the hole with a sticker. Always wondered how many came off in high speed card readers. . . . Steve At 09:54 AM 5/30/06 +1000, you wrote: At 10:10 29/05/06 -0400, you wrote: You guys had punch cards?
