You're right. If you do an 'R' compare it comes out correctly. Which to me
means that the compare function is not truly doing a left to right
comparison. Try doing the following:

The print only at the top of the page sounds like the printer is not getting
or not interpreting a carriage return at the end of the line. We had the
same problem on our Sun system with HP printers. Are you sending the
printout through a script before going to the device?

Check the errlog file in your uv directory. If you don't have one then
create one. It will log any runtime errors in your programs. You can view it
with more or print it out. The number of lines in this file are controlled
by the MAXERRLOGENT parameter.
