They bought out most of MUMPS and seem to have enough former PIck

Yes. Jim no longer works for InterSystems as of February or so, but
his two colleagues, John Greg, from both jBASE and Reality are still
there. So, yes, it was not MUMPS developers (in general, at least)
attempting to figure out what MV was all about, who write this

Hi Jerry -- I started responding and decided I wasn't certain about
some points so I passed your question along. I will get back to you on
this when I get a response. What I do know is that the file structures
look the same to any application software, but different to the OS.
I can also pass
Thanks, Dawn, for that thorough response.
You mention the helpdesk project at IBM. Susie S. told the Spectrum
gathering at Long Beach that the embedded db is UniVerse.
Perhaps we're not speaking of the same project. I was also told by

If you don't want to use their own 'Zen' object stuff, can you use
whatever you want? C#, VB, Java ?
How does it like ODBC, ADO or other methods of getting to the Cache
data?
We've all had our days hemmed into a proprietary environment.
I hope I'm wrong for the sake of my comrades like Dawn, but
Hi Baker -- good points and questions.

Since Cache' has a development platform, like all MV systems have,
there is a p-machine side (like all
